Mo Myths & Facts about Growing a Mustache

Movember 2015, Team HTGAM, PAA

Forget Christmas; Movember is the mustachioed man’s favorite time of the year and it’s on! Men all over the world, from Hong Kong to the U.S., Australia to Spain, began growing and grooming their best ‘stache for a month in order to raise much-needed money for prostate cancer research.

We’re huge fans of mustaches, no matter what the reason behind them may be. Still, there’s nothing quite like Movember, when the number of manly mustachioed men increases tenfold—all for a great cause. From humble beginnings, in just over 10 years the event has succeeded in raising well over $500 million for cancer research and directly contributed to numerous breakthroughs that have put us that much closer to possibly finding a cure.

One of the best things about Movember is the number of men who finally have a valid reason to grow the mustache they’ve always dreamed of—whether it be a handlebar, fu-manchu, porn ‘stache or pencil thin. Even better still is the number of guys who grow so fond of their ‘stache over the month that they finally decide to join our ranks and make their mustache a permanent addition to their personal style.

Of course, this can really only happen to those of us who are actually able to grow a decent ‘stache. So with that in mind, Prim&Prep decided to present you with some of the biggest myths and facts associated with the ‘stache in the hopes that you won’t simply shave it off when December rolls around. After learning the truth about growing a good mustache and what it can do for you, we’re sure that you’ll see the error of your ways and understand how a mustache can make you more of a man!
