Every man needs a great suit, just like every woman needs a little, black dress. The key to purchasing a great suit is in the details. Hand stitching, interior or hidden pockets, vented pleats or even a traditional flower loop that shows the tailor honors tradition and quality.

Long and lean is the look of the season. This modern cut is highlighting men’s best assets and putting a chic twist on the traditional suit. 50 Shades of Grey is no longer just a book; it’s a trend. All different tones, layered one upon the other is creating a structured, yet sophisticated look this fall. Cobalt blue is the brightest hue on the autumn streets, while bordeaux red and emerald green seem to be dominating the lush velvets this fall. Finally, vintage palettes, including mustard yellow and tobacco browns, have also made a re-appearance on the fall fashion scene.
Pattern
Traditional tweed is back, but not the way you might remember it. It’s slim and it’s sexy. Although more casual, the cut is bringing this look to life! In addition, we all must salute the loud plaid suit. Not for the timid at heart, this pattern boldly highlights the man confident enough to sport it. If you dare to try it, remember to tone it down with a softly hued shirt,tie or bow tie. Stripes and Aztec-type prints are also quite popular this season.
Layer and Transcend
Two-piece suits are taking on some great transformations this season and stepping out of the professional box. 
Layering and mixing pieces with the traditional suit creates a whole new attitude that is relaxed, yet classy. Wool vests, archival knit sweaters and even the über chic turtleneck completely change this traditional look into something with some edge, some personal style. Replace your suit jacket with a bomber if you really want to be daring. Take the look one step further by pairing it with some non-traditional shoes, like Doc Martens or some clunky, hiking boots. Accessorize with a nice over-sized scarf, hat or leather backpack.
Textured Ties (and Bow Ties)
A new trend that’s making waves in suit fashions is the “textured tie”. Whether you select a silk knit, cashmere or thick weave tie, they’re providing that extra something to the composition that was previously, well… flat. Anything but boring, these ties are the perfect keen little accessory to pump up your suit ensembles this fall.
