The engine generally gets clogged and the car simply stops running. This is simply because the fuel lines get contaminated and the fuel filters get obstructed with gunk. Moreover, the operating mechanism is very different in diesel vehicles and petrol cars.
While you can’t stop a vehicular accident from happening, driving training can make them less likely to happen. This is one of the main reasons why you want to enroll in a driving training program and obtain a motorbike licence.
What to do?
If you realise your situation when you are either in the service station or are very close to it, you may get things resolved with the help of an attendant working there. Do not attempt driving on further without solving the issue.
The more you drive, the higher the chances of complete engine failure, adding to the repair costs. The engine may get damaged in the process as well.
What if there is no service station nearby?
If you are really hapless and realise the problem when you have driven for quite some time, with no service station around to help you, you may need to call a mobile fuel drainer service to get things fixed for you. Try to call such an agency as soon as you identify the issue and do not carry on driving.
Once the technician arrives, they will be able to get the issue sorted out for you, generally within a couple of hours. If your car has not driven for long after you spotted the issue, the technician can get your car back in the perfect shape without much hassle.
