The facial fur style Goatee refers soley to a tuft of hair grown on the chin, sans moustache. Traditionally it is shaped to a point, thus resembling a Billy Goat’s scruff. The style can be traced back to the Ancient Greeks where the pastoral god Pan was claimed to sport one by default…he was half goat. So let us reiterate, there is no moustache involved. If a stache is part of the equation it is not a goatee.
